The Cennox Signage & Construction division is unique. Born from an incredible history dating as far back at 1872, our in-house signage team deliver projects from across industries and often challenged to complete the projects other signage companies simply cannot undertake.
Our approach to signage projects
Our approach to each signage project achieves the successful marriage between the partnerships of our in-house departments and our customers, each coming together to deliver a quality end product. From the early design stage, to CAD drawing, manufacture and installation - the Cennox Signage team deliver the end-to-end service built over two centuries of experience.
Cennox has enjoyed having our own in-house Sign Division since 2011. In that time, we have worked with many of the UK's leading brands, from banks, to hotels, retail, restaurants & commercial premises, to manufacture and shape their onstreet brands.
It may sound cliche, but our customers who see the products we deliver and install, really do believe we can deliver the 'Art of the Possible' and as a result, turn to us to achieve those extra special, bespoke projects.
EXPERTISE BORN FROM HISTORY
Formally known as The Lettering Centre, Cennox has roots in the signage business dating back more than a century. Formed originally in 1874 as EJ and AT Bradford, the company specialised at the time, in Sign-writing, Gilding and hand carving in timber and stone. The Lettering Centre grew out of the specialised skills of Bradford's and gained a reputation for work of exceptionally high quality for its customers throughout the City of London and the West End.
During the 60s & 70s the company was fortunate enough to employ Raf Staiano who was acknowledged to be one of the foremost lettering artists in Britain. Besides being a wonderful craftsman he was a great teacher, and was able to pass on much of his knowledge to a new generation. The standards that he set have been handed onto the master craftsmen that we employ today, but modern times require modern methods and we have continued to invest in new machinery, skills and ongoing training.
Since 1872 we added such skills as CNC machining of letters and logos in metals, plastics and wood, specialist chemical etching of metals and glass, silkscreen and large format digital prints. All of these new skills coupled with the best traditions of the past will see us continue to provide outstanding work for another century or more to come.
