Cennox signs agreement with Batopin
Brussels, Belgium, November 11, 2021: Cennox, the global supplier of Banking solutions and associated supporting services, has signed an agreement with Batopin, the Belgian initiative formed by the four major banks (ING, KBC, BNP Paribas Fortis and Belfius) for the maintenance and cash replenishment services of approximately 2,000 ATMs in Belgium. Cennox and Batopin have agreed on a five-year term.
By 2025, Batopin wants to fully roll-out a new, neutral cash network in Belgium. To support this roll-out, Batopin will rely on the services and experience of Cennox for the maintenance and cash replenishment of their ATMs. The first are already installed and have been active since August 2021.
Batopin wants to realise a smarter access to cash for the entire Belgian population by ensuring 95% of Belgian citizens have access to a cash point within a five-kilometer radius of their place of residence. Batopin is keen to be present where people do their shopping, where they pass in their daily commuting and where they work. Choosing strategic locations for the installation of their ATMs will increase availability, footfall and improve services in the community.
Cennox can rely on the experience of CEL Data Services, which they acquired at the end of 2020. CELDS has over 30 years of experience in the ATM market, including services for ING Bank. Cennox is currently the market leader in multi-vendor ATM and banking security systems. Across the UK, USA and Europe Cennox currently provides a range of multi-vendor field services for over 30,000 smart safes, 80,000+ self-service devices and 100,000+ deployed security systems.
“We are delighted to be part of this fantastic project which will have an impact on the whole Belgian ATM sector. The combination of CELDS' local experience with Cennox' global expertise is a perfect match as a trusted partner for Batopin. With our European headquarters based in Belgium, this makes us extra proud to be able to participate in this prestigious ATM project in this country.” Chetan Patil, Managing Director, Cennox Europe
“With Cennox, we have selected a partner with international and local experience to help us shape this challenging project. Our ambition is to make access to cash nationwide smarter and easier and we are delighted to have Cennox as a strategic partner in this endeavour.” Kris De Ryck, CEO Batopin
